Each month we'll meet up and do something fun and social to connect with each other.
This month and next month we're reading a book together! Our book selection for this semester is The Star That Always Stays by Anna Rose Johnson. The book is historical fiction about an Ojibwe girl who moves to the big city in 1914. It is often pitched to fans of Anne of Green Gables.
Today, we'll meet up and enjoy some snacks and activities to give context to 1914 New York City and Ojibwe culture. Then we'll read a few pages together to get us started. Join us again on Dec. 9 to discuss the book after we've all read it!
