Cedarburg Public Library

We love a good library hop at Cedarburg Public Library!
This quiet and spacious library offers many cozy nooks to focus on reading or schoolwork. Notable things at this location include a Digital Lab where you can transfer old media formats (i.e. cassettes, VHS, DVD etc.) to new ones, and the Epson large-format printer which starts at $1/foot. Students can also explore STEAM concepts with activities in the Tinker Lab located across from the children's reference desk. Use of the lab is through planned registration.

Harrington Beach State Park

Harrington Beach State Park has more than a mile of beach along Lake Michigan. This 715-acre park also features a white cedar and hardwood swamp, old field grasslands with restored wetland ponds and a scenic limestone quarry lake (which is pretty cool!). Camp, sunbathe, picnic, hike, bird watch, fish or practice astronomy at one of the observatory's monthly public viewings.

Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts

Do you have a student interested in sewing & quilting? The Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts is the only museum devoted to the creation, education and preservation of time-honored fiber arts in Wisconsin. In 2011, they restored an 1850s barn for use as an exhibition gallery, classrooms, collections storage and general purpose.
Interested home-schooling parents are encouraged to contact the Education Manager to arrange a field trip. A minimum of three weeks notice before the program date is encouraged.

Homeschool Ed-ventures

Add Riveredge Nature Center to your bucket list! Homeschool Ed-ventures is a science education program designed for homeschool students who enjoy hands-on learning and outdoor adventure! Programs are offered for the full year and age-appropriate options are available for K-12. Registration opens to the public on May 1, 2025. Program pricing ranges from $90-$355 for members and $120-$385 for non members. Coming for the day? Pricing will run you about $15/family.
