Racine Fiber Arts: Facts on Fabric

  • Racine Public Library 75 7th Street Racine, WI, 53403 United States (map)

Racine Public Library Description

Calling all knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, quilters and other fiber artists! Bring your projects and stitch along while learning about the legacy of your crafts. A fiber arts and history enthusiast will share information on different aspects of fiber arts history through zines* and conversation.

* Wondering what the heck a zine is? A zine is a small booklet or printout, often made by hand or with a copy machine in small batches. They're a popular way for independent artists and writers to distribute information and express creativity.

NOTE: This is an adult program but if you have a mature upperclassman that is passionate about textiles and the history of fiber art this might be a good opportunity to connect with a mentor and/or showcase your craft.

Classes and clubs are subject to changes and/or cancellations. Visit the host’s event page to check on the current status.
