WHPA Homeschool Board Meeting
WHPA Description
WHPA board meetings are open to all current WHPA members in good standing.
Members are invited to attend quarterly Board Meetings regularly (January, April, July, and October) to see what goes on behind the scenes and stay informed – we have a great time at our board meetings and would love to have you join the fun!

WI Science Festival
WI Science Festival “Curiosity Unleashed” Description
The Wisconsin Science Festival is a statewide celebration of science, technology, engineering, art, and math with activities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests throughout Wisconsin. Events include hands-on science exhibitions, demonstrations, performances, tours, pub nights, workshops and more.
Founded in 2011 on the premise that art and science go hand-in-hand, the festival has grown from a few days of events in Madison to a full week of activities spanning over a hundred cities. The Wisconsin Science Festival continues to grow, welcoming new event hosts and attendees every year.

Description
Sky Tellers: The Myths, the Magic, and the Mysteries of the Universe
Ten Native American myths and legends investigate the reason for day and night, why we have seasons, the origin of the stars, and other wondrous phenomena of our night sky. Each narrative is accompanied by the story that scientists tell today. This is a storytelling planetarium show with few graphics or extravagant features.

Homeschool Days at Old World
Old World Wisconsin Description
Take your homeschool learner or non-traditional student on an educational field trip to Old World Wisconsin for an unforgettable day of sights, sounds and hands-on history lessons. At Homeschool Days, students will have full access to Old World Wisconsin—from the beautiful trails of the Kettle Moraine Forest to gardens, residential buildings and the entire Crossroads Village—to gain a unique, up-close-and-personal understanding of Wisconsin history. Facilitators in period clothing will also offer insights into 19th-century customs that will help students create connections to modern life and current events. Activities are designed for learners aged 5-18, and guests of all ages are invited to join.
Students: $10

Bitsy Game Jam
Mukwonago Community Library Description
Aspiring game developers and enthusiasts are invited to this video game workshop! Learn how to make your own 8-bit video game using the free bitsy game engine - no coding required!
Work together as a group to come up with a game in this mini workshop. However, participants are welcome to bring their own devices to work together or alone on their own games.
Join us at the end of the month on Thursday, October 30 from 3:45-5 PM to share your finished games!

Come play Roblox with fellow gamers! Hosted in the MCL Teen Area; let’s play Roblox, discuss lore, and try new games together! Ages 13 - 17 are welcome! Show members how Blox-tastic you can be!

Feel free to come in and hang out, bring in a project to work on, make something here, use one of the tables, or just hang out and chat with us about projects and share in the creative energy!
We recommend reservations to use equipment like the laser machine, 3D printers, the Cricut, the sublimation printer and heat press, and laptops with design software like Cricut Design Space and CorelDraw.
Check out our Bookings page to reserve equipment. Any equipment that isn’t reserved for the day is first come first serve. You can book appointments by going to MetaSpace 511 Equipment Bookings
Please keep in mind that the makerspace is geared towards teens and adults. School-age students are welcome to come in and create and learn together with their adults. Anyone younger than 13 needs an adult with them the entire time. While we love seeing littles being creative in the makerspace, please know that for kids under 7 years old, we only have things like coloring sheets and LEGO bricks for them right now, and they must be supervised the entire time by their adults.

Art Club
Mukwonago Community Library Description
Join us in the fall as we bring back the very popular Mukwonago Art Club! This program is held on the fourth Wednesday of the month and is for anyone looking to be creative and take an hour to make something new.
Each month a different library staff member will bring a project for you to make. If that’s not your thing, just show up and spend the time using our provided art supplies to make something unique!
This program is for all ages and all abilities. This program will take place August through November.
In December, the library will have an exhibition showcasing some of the different art that was made by the community during this program. We hope to see you there! A special thank you to The Haase House for sponsoring this program.

Smells Like Teen Spirit

File the PI-1206 Homeschool Enrollment Report!
2025-26 Wisconsin Homeschool Enrollment
You may notice that the DPI HOMER website states that it’s currently accepting data for 2025-26 but you do not need to take action any earlier than Friday, September 19, 2025. Here is the related Wisconsin statute:
Wis Stat 115.30 (3)
On or before each October 15, each administrator of a public or private school system or a home-based private educational program shall submit, on forms provided by the department, a statement of the enrollment on the 3rd Friday of September in the elementary and high school grades under his or her jurisdiction to the department which shall prepare such reports as will enable the public and private schools and home-based private educational programs to make projections regarding school buildings, teacher supply and funds required. The administrator of each private school system and home-based private educational program shall indicate in his or her report whether the system or program meets all of the criteria under s. 118.165 (1).
The Wisconsin Homeschooling Parents Association’s (WHPA) encourages home-based educators to file the PI-1206 only during the window between the third Friday in September and October 15th.

STEAM Build-It Challenge Roller Coaster
