Dewey Decimal Reference Guide
Build-Your-Own Planner Collection
Homeschoolers are some of the best library patrons! Through our many library hops, we’ve found that many Wisconsin libraries have a dewey decimal system poster, but not all. Sometimes it’s nice to have your own handy if you (or your students) don’t know what you’re looking for but want to browse books by subject. With these printables in your binder, visiting new libraries feels a lot more familiar and students will start to learn the organizational patterns and where to find their favorite subject(s). This bundle includes:
One Reference Guide: With the high-level categories and subcategories
One Notes Page: Great for observing and jotting down your child’s favorite subjects over time
Scavenger Hunt Cards: Send younger students on a mission to find books in a particular category and pick out a few that are most interesting to them!
Great bundle for interest-led learning!
TIP: Laminate the cards and store them in your binder’s pencil pouch
